註釋Billy H. Guinn had an acclaimed career as a biology teacher in Jacksonville, Texas. He virtually created the first Anatomy and Physiology class ever taught in the state. His seminal work became a model for the Texas Education Agency that eventually adopted his materials for its curriculum. The TEA had Billy lead a task force to select and approve text books for other teachers to use in Biology classes. In retirement he has put his knowledge of animals to good use as an expert cattle breeder and rancher in Cherokee County. He has continued to use his excellent teaching talents by leading an adult Sunday School class at the First Untied Methodist Church. In 2014 he was honored at a gala function by the Jacksonville Education Foundation as one of the "Stars" of Jacksonville. All those who have known him and those who wish they knew him will enjoy his amusing and poignant vignettes about how he achieved an accomplished career and has enjoyed a richly fulfilling family life.
