Adult Gambling and Problem Gambling in Alberta, 1998
註釋Part I of this report highlights response to the findings of a 1998 study of the prevalence of adult gambling and problem gambling in Alberta. The implications of the 1998 study findings are discussed with regard to gambling prevention, treatment, training, and further research, and appropriate recommendations are made. Part II presents the research design and methodology for the 1998 study, research results, and the conclusions and implications from the researchers' perspective, with comparisons to the results of a similar 1994 study. Results presented include a profile of adult gamblers; their gambling activities and behaviour; their use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs; changes in gambler profile, activities, and behaviour since 1994; and problem gambling and gambling prevalence rates. The appendix includes a copy of the study questionnaire.
