Investigation on the antigenicity of spermatozoa, the presence of blood group antigenic factors on them and the effect of the antispermatozoal antibodies on the rumen were carried out. It was observed that bull spermatozoa were highly antigenic as they induced the production of antibodies in the serum of rabbits which could be determined by spurm agglutination and immolization test. The immune sera (IS) from rabbits in high concentration caused fail agglutination. An intermediate and low dilutions, mixed and head-head agglutination was produced. Normal sera (NS) gave rise to head-head agglutination in contrast to tail-tail IS. As the duration of treatment of semen with antiserum was increased the percentage dead sperms also increasd. A highly significant decrease in the fructose utilisation of semen treated with immune sera was noted.
