註釋The story of the life of photographer Viliam Malík is extraordinary in many respects. He got off to a quick start - at the age of twenty five he was already one of the most influential photographers in Slovakia, he was also one of the few well respected Slovaks in the Prague centre of Czechoslovak photography. He attracted attention not only by his photographs, but also his ability to organize. In 1943, four years after the split of Czechoslovakia and the formation of the Slovak state, up to the beginning of the 1950s, he was the head of the association of amateur photographers with the strange name Photo Club of Slovak Tourists and Skiers.
