註釋The catalog Octógono Project: 20 years - Learning with Artistsʺ, features a series of essays, photographs and interviews that narrate the history of the Projeto Octógono Arte Contemporânea through diverse voices, many of them directly linked to the history of the museum and the program. With 71 exhibitions over the course of 20 years, the Projeto Octógono Arte Contemporânea is one of the longest-lasting museum exhibition programs in Brazil. This publication presents a bird's-eye view of the many remarkable projects that have occupied the central space of the building Pinacoteca Luz and that tell the story of the sculpture and the installation over the last two decades. The artists, both Brazilian and foreign, took the opportunity to experiment with the size and scale of their works and tested new forms of public involvement and participation, constantly teaching the institution to go beyond what is already known in terms of contemporary art. The Octógono Project is a venue for exhibitions within the Pinacoteca for Brazilian and foreign artists, with or without commissioned works, that aims to be, within the framework of the Museum's activities, a space responsible for the systematic debate on the production and ideas that shape contemporaneity in the visual arts.
