Agricultural Pests of South Asia and Their Management
註釋"Pest problems in agriculture evolved closely with the domestication of plants. In traditional agriculture, pests were kept under check by natural regulating factors. However, modern agriculture disrupted the natural balance and provided favourable environment for prliferation of pests. Furthermore, introduction of gene technology and potential climate change would influence pest problems in several geographical regions. The present book has been written keeping all these issues in view. A detailed account of biology and manangemnt of pests of agricultural crops, forests, household and livestock, has been given. In addition, various pest management strategies have been discussed and future roadmap has been proposed. The book would meet the requirements of undergraduate and postgraduate students in agriculture and allied disciplines in developing countries." --
