註釋High Coup is scenic activity perceived as lean verse which opens exponentially in the heart and mind of the reader. It is space in captivity, the seasons beheld; earth blossoming, maturing, decaying, in storage. The people, places, and events of the urban landscape--caught at the height of endearing moments and caustic occurrences; viewed in solemn unveilings, eruptions of joy, and outbreaks of humor and whimsey--are here presented in Haiku. The delight of brevity embraced by the poet observer springs forth from these memorable pages. There is a cadence to the urban Haiku of Clarence R P that well signifies the times and trials of the many Africans and others, venerable and recent, dispersed from their ancestral homelands;the cadence is an East inspires West entanglement of motives at which the reader must pause and reflect--look left or right, lean forward, and consider.
