Healing India – Improving Human Rights, Gender Equality and Religious Education in the Republic of India
註釋India has become one of the world's deadliest countries for reporters. Assassinations include journalists who have spoken out against Hindu extremists; as well criticising Hindu nationalism and its leading exponent, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. Hate crimes against Muslims is another matter of grave concern in India; as well as gender inequality and sexual violence - the rape and murder of young girls shaming the nation. The ongoing Naxalite Maoist insurgency is another problem in India; also in view of the 2019 Gadchiroli Naxal Attack, where 16 policemen were killed, which is unacceptable and counterproductive - as the solutions to improve social equality can only be found in a political process; meaning through dialogue and peaceful political reforms. Hence this book endeavours to improve social equality, human dignity and civil liberties in India - as well as to improve peacebuilding in the Kashmir region, the Kashmir conflict between Pakistan and India being scary and heart-breaking in equal measure.
