註釋A meticulous study that breaks down and analyzes in depth the multiple inventories made by the second Count of San Bartolome de Xala, don Antonio Rodriguez de Pedroso y Soria, in 1784, after the death of his wife, the countess, doña Gertrudis Ignacia de la Cotera y Rivas-Cacho. The property listings and appraisals were made in order to have knowledge of his deceased wife's assets as well as his own. The inventories began in March 1784 and was approved and formally declared legal eight years later. (1792). After the textual study, the book presents the total transcription of the 68 sections of the inventory of all the domestic and personal conspicuous and luxury goods that were inside the mansion of the Count located in the Historic Downtown of Mexico City and other properties that he owned. Also includes 10 appendixes that explain in detail the nature of the objects and the social and commercial links around the members of the family of the Count: receipts of merchandise coming from Acapulco, legal documents including the countess testament, legal files from the Inquisition, accounts, photographs, plans and other important material.
