A STUDY ON PRIMARY AMENORRHEA
註釋In 1956 Tjio and Levan first identified the human diploid chromosome number to be 46. This was later confirmed by Ford and Hemerton in the same year. Then the human male complement was found to be 46, XY and female complement 46,XX. The first chromosomal abnormality, that is the presence of 47 chromosomes in Down's syndrome was reported by Lejeune et al. (1959).
