註釋A wide variety of both conventional and infrequently observed phenomena took place during the disk passage of McMath Plage No. 11976. A summary of the more important solar radio activity is presented. The largest of the bursts on 2,4, and 7 August had proton association which is correlated quantitatively with burst integrated flux density. One of the events was visible in white light and also had an associated ground level event. The spectra of the largest bursts are considered. As early as 31 July 1972, many unusual bursts at wavelengths shorter than 3 cm were observed as point brightenings with excellent x-ray association. Though discussions are at times presented, the emphasis of this report is on presentation of data. (Modified author abstract).
