The Photographs of Édouard Baldus
註釋Published in conjunction with an exhibition traveling from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal and the Musee National des Monuments Francais in Paris, during 1994 and 1995. An extended essay (by Barry Bergdoll) accompanies tritone and duotone reproductions of the 19th- century French photographer's work. His aesthetic sensitivity and technical prowess in the still-experimental medium put him at the forefront of landscape and architectural photography during his time, but it has been well known only to connoisseurs, a condition that the exhibition and this volume corrects. 12x10" Annotation copyright by Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
