This is a tale of love. Even after four years, Brad Pittson still laments the passing of his wife.

He sells the company he and his wife founded because he is no longer satisfied with it. He offers a girl whose parents' debts were levied against her a home and befriends her. They gradually fall in love as he discovers a new cause to life.

From the start, Brad Pittson made his way to his usual Thursday night eatery while driving under a torrential December downpour. Since his wife was murdered by a drunk driver four years ago, he has eaten at the Italian restaurant managed by two brothers every Thursday night.

The restaurant was created by his construction business, and over the years, he had developed a close friendship with the proprietors. The restaurant was a medium-sized business that had prospered as a result of its superb Italian food and affordable costs.

Although it wasn't the fanciest in town, walk-in customers seldom had a table available. Brad was certain that his usual seat would be available.
