The DMIC Handbook on 9Ni-4Co steels presents available information and data covering the metallurgy, manufacturing, and mechanical properties of these steels. The metallurgical portion summarizes melting, primary working, and compositional aspects. The manufacturing portion covers forming, heat treating, and welding, each of which is a concern of the users of these steels. Mechanical properties presented include room and elevated-temperature tensile, fatigue, and limited compressive and shear data for the 0.25 and 0.45 carbon grades.
