For seven weeks, Mario Rizzi documents the lives of several Syrian women in this ongoing state of emergency, including Ekhlas, a 29-year-old widow and mother of three. The film emphasizes how often members of the community seem to be waiting for things; "That Syrian President Assad goes to small events that give them hope or a small joy of her child's smile...But the most important is waiting for change, for peace."
