The Business Approach to Training
註釋The role of the trainer is changing rapidly. Internal trainers are increasingly having to justify their proposed solutions in business terms, while external trainers can sell their services only by helping customers to fulfil their business objectives. in both cases, they need a knowledge of 'business speak' that will enable them to deal with other managers on an equal footing. At the same time trainers are themselves having to operate in a businesslike way: to recover their costs, to market their services proactively and so on. This book explains the main ideas governing finance, strategy and marketing. By relating concepts like business planning, cash flow, breakeven analysis, pay back, SWOT analysis and the marketing mix to the training process, it removes some of the mystery that surrounds them. The authors use a variety of methods to reinforce learning, including exercises and activities.
