Pearson FlexText, Active Practicum for Early Childhood Education
註釋"As an early childhood practicum student, you have an opportunity to explore your chosen profession: Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC). Practicum is the experience of participating in a mentored learning environment. As a practicum student, you will try out ideas and interventions, put theory into practice, and develop as an individual. From the start, this transition promotes an understanding of what it means to be an early childhood professional. In ECEC, the community of practice is an informal network of professionals that shares knowledge, practices, and informs the profession. Becoming an early childhood professional involves gaining familiarity with and accepting the commitment to work toward the expectations of the profession. Familiarity and acceptance of expectations is called occupational socialization. Your socialization into all aspects of the early childhood profession will be an ongoing process. During your practicum placement, you, the novice to early childhood education and care, will see the practice of the profession by observing and participating alongside educators in the field. Socialization into the occupation is part of the process, and as an active participant in the process you have the responsibility to understand and be respectful of the early childhood profession and those who engage in the profession."--
