註釋
The years between 1970 and 1995 marked a huge change for teachers in Victoria, Australia. This history explains the progress that took place during this era of reform and the personalities and issues that drove it. After years of conservatism, and with many issues at stake for teachers, some members of the VTU decided it was time to turn a 'friendly society' into a union. Just one generation later the Victorian Teachers' Union, it's members, their schools, and the conditions under which they worked had been transformed almost beyond recognition.
