Topics discussed include what is known about youth in community service, changes that are occurring, types of service opportunities, the relationship of community service to educational and societal goals, and policy implications. At the end of the report is a list of resources to contact when establishing youth service programs. In the addendum the Coalition for National Service recommendations for both a National Youth Service Foundation and a International Volunteer Youth Service are listed. Last, a commentary on this report is included.
