The Conversation
註釋The Conversation is a fictional story based upon actual events involving two of Puerto Rico's greatest 20th century leaders, Pedro Albizu Campos, leader of the Independence party and Luis Munoz Marin, the governor of Puerto Rico who has imprisoned Don Pedro for inciting rebellion against the United States of America. Set in the basements of the prison and the adjoining Governor's mansion, the two men discuss politics, economic and cultural issues that affect the little island. The story/play has moments of comedy and moments of sadness. If you want to learn about the history of the oldest (1493) established part of the U.S. this is the book. The story/play contains several songs written by the author Jose Lopez Ortega, Puerto Rican folk singer Ramito and gospel song writers and performers Bill and Gloria Gaither, to use if you choose to perform the play rather than just reading the story.
