Hand bound artists' book made by Jill Carter-Hansen in 2011. Contains an allegory on an arrival of a refugee told through a history of the horse in civilisation. The book combines mediums including print-making, photographic processes, digital imaging, drawing, handwritten text and collage on various papers, some of which are also handmade. The concertina notebook, made by Carter-Hansen in 2013, provides an insight into the processes used to create The Leap, and is designed to stand behind or around the book when used in exhibition displays.
