Psychopathology in Childhood
註釋Children with psychological problems have long been ignored both in the laboratory and the consulting room. Our identification of pathology traditionally rests on internal dynamics which cannot be observed directly. However, behavioral approaches now offer an alternative, especially in the treatment of autism, childhood schizophrenia, and childhood phobias. Physiological approaches also promise to improve our understanding of learning disorders and psychophysiological disorders. This important new volume integrates all three points of view and represents current knowledge of child psychopathology in a form that is useful to both the advanced student and the practicing clinician. The book is divided into three sections: classification systems, specific disorders of childhood, and different approaches to therapy. Each chapter on a category of childhood pathology incorporates theories and studies from psychodynamic, behavioral, and physiological viewpoints.
