Samuel Wilson Correspondence
註釋Correspondence written from Samuel Wilson in Greenville, South Carolina, to his sister, Eliza Pitkin and her husband Reverend John Pitkin, in Dresden, Ohio. Wilson talks about his health and a decision to travel south to visit relatives in South Carolina. He accepted a position "in a female seminary established at Greenville Court House ... The price of tuition is enormously high at least five dollars per qr. for spelling, reading and writing." He believes that "the state of religion here is on the whole promising ... [however] I only dread a collision between the different denominations."
