註釋The Special Committee on Sustainable Aquaculture is an all-party committee of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. It was appointed to examine, inquire into and make recommendations with respect to sustainable aquaculture in British Columbia and in particular, to consider the economic and environmental impacts of the aquaculture industry in B.C.; economic impact of aquaculture on B.C.'s coastal and isolated communities; sustainable options for aquaculture in B.C. that balance economic goals with environmental imperatives; B.C.'s regulatory regime as it compares to other jurisdictions; and solicit and consider written and oral submissions from any interested person or organization by any means the Committee considers appropriate. This first report lists the members and meetings of the Committee and highlights the Committee's activities from February to December 2006.
