註釋This document sets the case study within the general theoretical framework of institutions as complex systems. Subsequent sections extend the description of the Consortium Graduate School as an example of institutional development, considering in more detail the philosophy and goals which have served as the base of its initiation and evolution; relations to the wider institutional and socio-cultural environment; and how both of these elements have shaped the emerging character of the School as a particular example of institution building.
