註釋The earliest proven ancestor, Elisha R. Hogle (1806-1900), possibly the son of Peter Hogle and Rebecca Hiliker, was born at Vermont and died in Marshalltown, Iowa. He married (1) Almira Bryant (d. 1842) 1835 at Monroe County, N.Y. She died at Oakland Co., Michigan. He married (2) Louisa Frances Kennedy (1836-1905) 1863 at Marshalltown, Iowa. She was born in Haywood Co., Tennessee.
