A Bibliography of NMR Applications for Forestry Research
註釋More widespread application of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to forestry research could have many benefits. However, forestry researchers are largely uninformed about the technique, or perceive it to be too expensive and sophisticated for forestry needs. This bibliography lists over450 recent references to the end of 1989, with a few publications which were available early in 1990. These are arranged in subject categories relevant to forestry problems, including general reviews of biological NMR, applications to bacteria, fungi, algae and higher plants, distribution and physical properties of water in plants, physiology and polymer chemistry of insects, and applications to wood, soil, glyphosate, and analytical biochemistry. The NMR techniques cover a wide range of applications, including solutions and solids, conventional spectroscopy, and imaging. The information collected here should enable forestry researchers to design novel and effective NMR approaches to problems and to prepare grant applications to obtain the necessary NMR instrumentation. An author index and a brief introduction to some basic NMR concepts are provided.
