註釋Jonas Maust was born 10 December 1830 in Keim, Pennsylvania. He was a descendant of Jacob Maust who immigrated to America from Switzerland 8 October 1737 and settled near the present town of Bernville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Jonas married Barbara Miller ca. 1857 in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Moses Miller and Catherine Friday. Jonas and Barbara lived in Pennsylvania and were the parents of thirteen children. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Indiana, Maryland and elsewhere.
