註釋An hilarious but poignant series of articles describing the cases of the many colourful characters who consult Dr Ken B Moody. Never has a book detailed the doctor-patient relationship with such humour and insight. Loveable old curmudgeon Dr Moody is a general practitioner in the beautiful Scottish Borders, who writes of his experiences in a regular column in local newspapers. Now, for the first time, he has kindly agreed for his friend and confidant David Carvel to select and assemble the best of these articles for a wider readership. This volume contains a greater mixture of anecdotes and medical cases than a dispensary full of pills. It is hoped that they do not leave the reader feeling light-headed, nauseated or having an urgent need to visit the lavatory. Rather, they may be just the tonic you need. Like medication, it is suggested that these vignettes are not consumed in one go; instead it is respectfully advised that the reader returns at specified intervals for measured and therapeutic doses.
