Concise Encyclopedia of Mexico
註釋Annotation A chopped-down version of the Encyclopedia of Mexico: History, Society, and Culture containing most of the essays on particular events and many of the broad, synthetic overviews, particularly those dealing with questions of particular interest to non-specialist readers in politics, religion, the military, and arts and letters. Also included are the biographical entries on people mentioned in the longer synthetic essays. The encyclopedia is primarily historical, emphasizing the development of broad themes, structures and processes and discussing specific events, institutions, and figures within that context. None of the original essays has been altered. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com).
