Excerpt from Schriften des Naturwissenschaftlichen Vereins für Schleswig-Holstein, Vol. 10 Verbas cum Salviac fol: frutex. Phlomis fruticosa L, jerusalems-salbei, strauchiges Wollkraut. Diese in Südeuropa heimische Pflanze trug früher (2. B. Bei C. Bauhin, Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts) den voranstehenden Namen Verbascum latis salviae foliis; die Blätter wurden zu Umschlägen bei Geschwüren und Wunden, namentlich bei Brandwunden gebraucht und die Pflanze wurde deshalb vielfach kultiviert.
