Artists' book, one in a series of nine, the series is called Still anonymous, based on actual vintage photographs of anonymous women in the artist's own collection, the book is signed and dated by the author/artist on the rear panel. Book consists of blank book block, which the artist has cased into Davy board covered with artist canvas covered with multiple layers of mediums to achieve depth and antiqued feeling, including gesso and acrylic gel mediums and lace fabric, with vintage photograph of a woman copied onto front panel, title, Genevieve, in black letters on spine and text, text which is an imagined autobiography of the very real but very anonymous woman pictured on the front cover, hand-written by the author/artist on the top, fore, and bottom edge, with one key line extending across back panel, book block held firmly closed by several layers of PVA, black and white headbands, housed in a custom-made black cloth over boards box and lid, onlays of Liberty of London floral fabric on box lid and lining the box, title printed in black on white paper label collaged to box lid.
