Successful environmental education programs star off with basic ecological principles steeped with values inculcation. It includes courses on air and water quality, solid and hazardous wastes and noise pollution. They are necessarily complimented by topics such as environmental economics, planning, and legislation. Production and consumption of energy as well as impacts of industry, mines, agricultural, and other projects are also discussed. Most importantly, emphasis is laid on environmental policies founded on the specific principle that cooperation and integrated between environmental protection and developmental planning is the key to good environmental management.
