註釋
Testwork was conducted to determine the optimum temperatures, retention times, reductants, and fluxes which will produce a primary antimony suitable for oxidation to Sb2O3 or refining if required. Work was conducted in two stages, the first on a small static scale to determine the optimum flux composition, reductant and antimony recovery to maintain as low a temperature as possible to minimize losses of antimony due to volatilization. Upon determination of the best conditions for smelting of the concentrate, the second stage was conducted on a 2 kg scale in a 30 kW induction furnace.
