註釋Pp. 21-47 contain a Hebrew translation of a diary written by Laskier between January-April 1943, which was found in Będzin in 2006. Laskier was born there in 1929. After the Nazi occupation she was interned with her parents and younger brother in an open ghetto, where she wrote her diary. In April 1943 they were transferred to a smaller, closed ghetto. In August 1943 the family was deported to Auschwitz, where Laskier, her mother, and brother were gassed immediately; her father was later deported to Sachsenhausen and survived. Pp. 7-14 contain an essay by her sister, Zahava (Laskier) Scherz. Pp. 49-57 contain brief essays, by Bella Gutterman and Menahem Lior, on the Będzin ghetto and on the diary, respectively.
