Hypertext and Operating Systems
註釋Abstract: "The hypertext principle has been used in such a wide range of computer applications that one must wonder whether it should not become a part of the whole computer environment. In this paper, we argue that this would indeed be desirable and that hypertext should become one of the principles of operating systems. After a brief introduction to the principles of hypertext and its benefits, we give examples of several computer applications in which hypertext already is or could advantageously be used and show that they would greatly benefit if hypertext were extended from isolated applications to a system-wide facility
