The Radiation Measurements Laboratory (RML) is presently doing radioisotopic analyses on low level CAM filters, water and soil samples for RWMC. The work load has increased to the point where additional automation needs to be implemented in the RML. This will require the design and construction of a shielded sample changer that will be placed in the low background iron counting room. The purchase of a more efficient Ge(Li) detector, amplifier, H.V. supply, NIM Bin count rate meter and ADC will also be necessary. The following information shows the cost effectiveness of building such a system.
