註釋The three Zug/Zook brothers, Christian, Johannes and Moritz immigrated to Pennsylvania from Switzerland and the Palatinate about 1742. They settled near the Hochstetler/Hufstedleer/Hertzler/Hostetler homestead in (now) Berks County. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Ohio, Iowa, and Virginia before scattering throughout the United States.
