註釋The Truth covers selected verses of the Quran, which as per Islam is the book of God. So are the Torah and the Gospels, which were also sent directly from God through angels and messengers. God’s intention in all the Abrahamic religions was to keep things simple, but over time, we’ve become divided. Mortals and rulers have brought sects to religions, adding new books and new laws. The verdict from worshippers of different faiths is clear: If you do not do this, you are not a good Muslim; if you do not do that, you are not a good Christian; if you do not keep your hair like this or dress like this, you are not a good Jew. The sermons keep coming, making it difficult to keep up with religion. The basics—being a good person or being a caring and giving person—are often no longer necessary to belong to a religion. Faith has largely acquired a new identity, which is hardly religious. In this book, Mohammad Rehman presents the right version of Islam, which is hardly practiced anymore, as the majority of people follow sects instead of the Quran alone.
