註釋First published in 1910, this classic early synthesis of the palaeolithic bone industry was re-edited for an international conference on the bone industry from the Solutrean to the Magdalenian in Europe held in 2003. Written by Gustave Chauvet (1840-1933) it presents a descriptive catalogue of bone, ivory and wooden objects from the Charente region, including cutting and piercing implements, amulets, art objects and other miscellaneous engraved and marked pieces. A short preface has been added, but otherwise the original text is unaltered. French text.
