註釋The first volume presents the work carried out from 1983 to 1990 on a water quality monitoring system designed to follow trends in the acidification of headwater lakes in southern Quebec. The report includes a description of the main components of the 1990 sampling network as well as a characterization of the lakes involved. The temporal and spatial behaviour of lake water quality from 1983 to 1990 is also examined. The last section is focused on a network performance evaluation, and includes recommendations formulated in light of the results and future management needs. The second volume describes the validated database as it stands after over seven years of sampling (47 runs) from May 1983 to January 1991, is intended to be a reference for the work carried out by Bouchard (1992).
