註釋LIFERAFT is a book about the Crisis Accommodation Project started on the NSW far south coast to assist the homeless. Over a hundred thousand Australians sleep rough every night according to the most recent census, and on the far south coast there are regularly over a hundred. The Social Justice Advocates, a charity of hard-working volunteers, restores donated caravans for victims of domestic violence, the general homeless and since the 2020 Summer of Fires, for bushfire survivors too. Our Facebook page facebook.com/sapphirecoastsja tells the complete story, including our work with refugees and other social initiatives. This has been a seven year project to date and many individuals and families have been helped to get back on their feet.
