"Lydia Panas' ability to capture and convey the complexity of human relationships has made her a rising star in contemporary portraiture."--Conor Risch, "Photo District News"
For three years in hot weather and cold, Lydia Panas invited families to stand before her lens. She was curious to see what would happen. These groups stood graciously before her as the series unfolded.
Lydia Panas has exhibited widely throughout the United States, and is gaining attention in Europe and Asia. Her work is included in numerous collections including those of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Brooklyn Museum; and Center for Photography at Woodstock.
