Short Stories I
註釋Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell was an English novelist, biographer, and short story writer. Her novels offer a detailed portrait of life of Victorian society, including the very poor, and are of interest to social historians as well as lovers of literature. The Short Stories I includes three stories: The Grey Women, Curious if True and Six Weeks at Heppenheim. Curious if True is one of the precursors of the horror genre by Elizabeth Gaskell. It makes the perfect evening or summer reading for adults and young adults alike.
