James Woodrow Papers
註釋Collection consists chiefly of correspondence regarding Woodrow's difficulties with the Presbyterian Church over his controversial address on evolution (1884) and on his work as an educator and editor of the Southern Presbyterian review. Correspondents include A.W. Clisby, James H. Hall, Charles R. Keyes, D.C. Rankin, C.A. Stillman, and John Leighton Wilson. Collection also includes: letters, October 16, 1893 and April 13, 1894, from L.O. Howard of the United States Division of Entomology acknowledging receipt of insect specimens and identifying them; articles by Woodrow titled "The Artesian well at Charleston, S.C." and "Geology of South Carolina with special reference to Columbia"; and an essay on Woodrow by Robert K. Gustafson, dated approximately 1977.
