註釋Augmented Spanish edition, published simultaneously with the Italian edition, of an early pilgrimage guidebook to Rome. The first section presents descriptions of the churches of Rome, each with a woodcut drawing. Following the first chapter on the seven principal churches of Rome, the descriptions of the other churches are arranged geographically, with each chapter devoted to the churches of a particular section of the city, for example: En la Isla; En Transtiber; En el Burgo; De la puerta del pueblo hasta a Nuestra Señora de li Monti; Del Hiesu en Parione, Calle Iulia, alla Regola y restante hasta Araceli; Del Campidollo por todas partes, hasta S. Ignes de Porta Pia. For the convenience of pilgrims, there is a helpful section listing churches by the month's feast days during which indulgences may be secured. Felini has also prepared itineraries for visits of one to three days--Jornada Primera, Jornada Seguna, Jornada Tercera--with each day's stops arranged geographically by city district. The second half of the book has a special title page with title "Las antiguidades figuradas del alma ciudad de Roma antes por Prospero Parisio aumentadas, y hagora con diligencia por Fray Pedro Martir Felini ... corregidas y muy ampliadas." Here are descriptions of the pagan antiquities of Rome--the temples bridges, arches, obelisks, and statuary of the city; this section is also lavishly illustrated with woodcut drawings of each site. The guidebook concludes with lists of the Roman emperors, the kings of Spain and France, the dukes of Venice, the dukes of other city states such as Savoy, Mantua, Ferrara, Milan and Florence, and finally, Turkish rulers.
