註釋This report analyzes mortality data collected to test the effectiveness of the Ezject herbicide lance, which injects a used .22 cartridge containing 0.22-0.24 grams of glyphosate herbicide into a tree. The lance method for herbicide application is safe to use and environmentally benign, since the herbicide is contained. The lance can also treat a large number of trees quickly. The investigator established five trials for western hemlock, Douglas fir, and lodgepole pine, and developed initial dose-response models for the hemlock and fir. The results contained in the report include the degree of fit of the models to the data, as determined by regression analysis.
