Functional and Selective Neck Dissection
註釋Describes surgical techniques for performing neck dissection on patients with head and neck cancer, and clarifies the connection between functional and selective neck dissection from historical, anatomic, and surgical standpoints. A detailed outline of the fascial layers and topographic anatomy of the neck serves as a guide in which the external and readily accessible superficial features of the neck provide landmarks for deep structures. Next, a sequence of surgical steps walks through the complete functional approach to the neck in which all cervical nodal groups are removed. A discussion of hints, pitfalls, and complications rounds out the volume. Three of the four authors are doctors of otolaryngology in Spain. Color photographs.
