註釋Immunim III: Sefer Hadrakhah is a guide to the tonality and manner of performance of all tefillot for Shabbat, Shalosh Regalim,Yamim Noraim, Fast Days, and now, the Weekday services in the Ashkenazi tradition. Most of the musical examples were compiled by Max Wohlberg and used in his teaching of cantorial students at the Jewish Theological Seminary's Cantors Institute. The examples for Shabbat are all original compositions by Wohlberg. While Sefer Hadrakhah is intended to be a musical guide and reference book for cantorial students, it may also prove to be a useful resource for experienced hazzanim. Bulleted references direct the reader to published resources. Because the intent of this guide is to authentically mirror certain European Ashkenazi traditions, the reader has not been directed to several useful and widely-used contemporary compilations. Comments about the music, texts and synagogal practices which may be of interest to hazzanim, rabbanim or synagogue functionaries have been included in footnotes. Indications of tonality/modality are listed under the name of the prayer.
