Letter of Edmund Randolph to James Madison
註釋Randolph, Richmond, Va., writes to Madison in New York describing the debate in the Virginia General Assembly over the election of U.S. Senators, especially Patrick Henry's support of Richard Henry Lee and William Grayson, and his lack of support for Madison. Randolph speculates that it is Madison's federalist sentiments that make his candidacy unpalatable to the majority in the legislature. John Page, Edward Carrington and Francis Corbin are also mentioned.
